14 Year Old, Vincent Lamar Oliver Jr. arrested for killing 2 women
When violence finds a 14 year old, one assumes they are the victim and not a killer, that is until Vincent Lamar Oliver Jr.
Jasmin Bean and Ja’Lexius Lashon are the the two women Vincent Lamar Oliver Jr. is charged with killing. Most 14 year olds are preparing for high school, as they have their entire life ahead of them however, even at 14, Vincent’s life is expected to be spent behind bars for the rest of his natural life.
How did it get here? What made this kid choose violence?
When I think about the causes, thoughts of limited to no role models, Hip Hop and/or Rap Music along with violent video games are the first that comes to mind. Being that this happened in Alabama, more must be done to remove the causes of senselessness acts like this.
Remove the Hip Hop & Rap from the Shelves, turn off the violent video games, make efforts to stop these cycles of violence by speaking out whenever and however possible.
If you know a kid that is going down a path of destruction say something to the parents or the community Police. Make an effort to provide help before more senseless violence happens.
