The Police we hire to serve and protect us often go un-named when they commit crimes. Even when there is evidence that show a particular Police Officer performing acts that go against their sworn duty, we the public are rarely ever informed of their name. More importantly, if there is no video that capture the Police Officer(s) in the act, the story may not even make the news. But How could this be?
How is it, we see this Police on the attached video punch the unarmed man in the face, clearly assaulting the man in front of the public and fellow police officers yet, the violent Police Officer remains unnamed. How is this the case? Moreover, how can the Police break the Law in front of other Police and nothing happens to the Police Officer that breaks the Law? No Police rush to arrest the Police Officer, No Police Stop the Police Officer from additional Physical contact no, they often defend the Police Officer in question. Notice in the video, after the Police Officer Punches the unarmed man in the face, knocking him down, causing him too violently his his head on the cement. notice the other Police Officers on scene move into a combat position, around the Police Officer and the assaulted victim. They are positioned to protect the Violent Police Officer against the Public that saw him break the law. So in essence, they are protecting a criminal they all saw break the Law they are sworn to protect.
Who are these Police Officers that are allowed to remain unnamed, and often, uncharged. How can this continue to happen without penalty that involves loss of job for the Police Officer that commits the violent assault and the Officers that see the assault being committed and do nothing or say anything.
We are advised to report crime when we see crime being committed but, what happens when the crime being committed is committed by the Police? Who do we go to to report the crime? Better yet, what happens to when a civilian (Ci villain) that does go to the Police and report a crime another Police has committed? Well, we saw what happened in this video and well over 1 year later, we the public still do not know this Police Officers name. Reports say he was placed on desk duty. Does that happen to the public, this desk duty? Do we receive a “Desk Duty” time out for punching an unarmed person in the face? Uh, no.
Bear in mind, if this Police Officer is fired by the Detroit Police Department and he very well could be, he will be able to go to another Police Department for employment and we the Public will not be able to say or do anything because we have NO idea who he is.
So our question remains, Who are the Police “WE” hire to serve & Protect us?
